Tradition Field
Centrally located on Florida's Research Coast is Tradition Field at St. Lucie West, the Spring Training home of the New York Mets major league baseball (MLB) team and the summer home of the Port St. Lucie Mets minor league team.

Port St. Lucie's own Tradition Field... since 1988, it's been the Spring Training home of the New York Mets. The New York Mets have a faithful following of avid fans. With our east coast location, we are ideally situated to play host to many northeast visitors each spring who travel to support and cheer on the Mets. This presents our region with a significant opportunity to showcase our fine region and all our community assets. Sports writers from major national media - and, of course, New York City sports reporters - provide extensive coverage of the Mets games, all of which gives Florida's Research Coast tremendous media exposure every year in the world's largest media market.

PGA Village
Florida's Research Coast offers residents and visiting golfers the convenience of the nearby PGA Village with its three public golf courses and unique Learning Center plus a private championship golf course.
Over the years, golf has always held a major presence on Florida's Research Coast. The PGA Village, a PGA of America facility has three daily fee courses plus the one-of-a-kind PGA Learning Center, the PGA's only training facility in the world, awarded 5 stars by Golf Digest. There is also a private 18-hole championship course, designed by Jim Fazio. This course and its accompanying 22,000-square foot clubhouse with tennis courts and a swimming pool are owned and operated by the PGA of America.

The Honda Classic, held every spring in Palm Beach Gardens, is a world-class, match play PGA tournament hosting international tour players from around the world. As part of the PGA Tours annual "Florida Swing," The Honda Classic takes place approximately 30 minutes south of the center of Florida's Research Coast at the PGA National Spa & Resort in Palm Beach Gardens. www.thehondaclassic.como
